YOUkraine Teens in Cambridge is a community initiative created for Ukrainian teenagers aged 13-18 living in Cambridge and the surrounding areas. It provides a safe, inspiring, and friendly environment for integration, socialisation, learning, and personal growth, while helping teenagers maintain a connection to Ukrainian culture and identity in a new environment. We bring Ukrainian teenagers together through regular Sunday meetings, workshops, discussions, meetings with guest speakers, creative activities and trips.

Maryna Povkh — Youth Programme Lead

Maryna coordinates and manages all aspects of the programme: from planning and logistics to working directly with teenagers. Her approach is based on empathy, mutual respect, and support for young people’s mental health. She also focuses on developing leadership skills, fostering positive identity, and engaging parents in the life of the programme. With over 15 years of entrepreneurial experience and as a mother of two, Maryna combines strong organisational skills with a deep understanding of teenagers’ needs.
